The chairman of BDV Asset Management Company Limited (BDV AMC), Mr. Aftab Ul Islam, has initiated the Asset Management Company to flourish the advancement of the nation and to recognize the potential of growing companies' ideas in the industry.

Mr. Aftab Ul Islam has more than 3 decades of field experience in the private sector, having graduated first in Commerce (B.Com) and subsequently in Law (LL.B). He then became a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).

Mr. Islam began his career with a multinational IT company based in the United States, NCR Corporation, which he oversaw for several years. In 1992, he established his own company, IOE (Bangladesh) Ltd. On the basis of his outstanding contributions to the ICT industry, he was appointed President of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), one of the country's leading Chambers.
